Mother's Day 2026 — Internal staff briefing
Everything you need to know about this year's Mother's Day campaign, in one place.
Why this campaign
We've built this year's Mother's Day campaign around a single idea: some gifts become rituals. The word ritual already runs through the Ilumaé range, with The Morning Ritual Crème as one of our hero products, and we've created a brand new 45-minute treatment, The Ritual Facial, to sit alongside it.
Using the word deliberately across product, treatment, and campaign positions each gift not as a one-off purchase, but as the beginning of something ongoing. That framing matters when you're speaking with patients. Whether they're choosing a bundle, a card, or asking a question in passing, the conversation is about something considered, not something transactional.

Key reminders for the campaign
The campaign runs from 29th April to 11th May 2026. There are three offers: the Mother's Day Bundle ($199), the Skincare Bundle ($149), and any gift card from $100 (which earns the purchaser a complimentary Ritual Facial Voucher).
When you sell a bundle in clinic, pack it presentably, include the physical Ritual Facial Voucher inside the gift bag (Mother's Day Bundle only), and process the sale in Dapple as a package, redeeming all items at the point of sale.
When a patient comes in to redeem a Ritual Facial Voucher, book them into The Ritual Facial appointment type in Dapple (weekdays, 9am to 5pm only), then apply the [MOTHERS DAY] 100% off Ritual Facial discount on the invoice. The discount removes $195 from the total.
Verify the gift card purchase value before redeeming a thank-you Ritual Facial, even if the patient has the digital voucher on their phone. Only purchases of $100 or more qualify.
Patients can purchase gift cards at any time via the website or the Contour Clinics patient app. The app is a good thing to recommend to patients who don't have it yet. It also lets them schedule the gift card delivery for a specific date, ideal for Mother's Day.
Important
The complimentary Ritual Facial Voucher is sent automatically with every gift card purchase, regardless of value. The campaign offer applies only to gift cards of $100 or more. If a patient comes in to redeem a thank-you Ritual Facial and shows you the digital voucher on their phone, please verify the gift card purchase value in Dapple before booking or redeeming. See "Redeeming the Ritual Facial Voucher" below for the verification step.
You can also process gift card purchases at the front desk. The full walkthrough is below.
In-clinic gift card sale — Dapple walkthrough
When you process an in-clinic gift card sale, the comp Ritual Facial Voucher is sent automatically by email to the purchaser. There is no need to give them a physical voucher.
For bundle sales in clinic, the process is:
Process the sale in Dapple as a package. The Mother's Day Bundle and Skincare Bundle are pre-loaded as packages. Select the correct one. Do not build the sale up from individual line items, as the package pricing and inventory will not apply correctly.
Redeem all package items at the point of sale. This is critical. Because you're handing over everything (products, voucher, gift bag) at the time of purchase, all items need to be marked redeemed in Dapple immediately. This is an inventory action, not a service redemption.
Pack the bundle. See "Packaging the bundle" below.
Hand over to the patient with the campaign flyer if useful.
Note
The Mother's Day Bundle includes a physical Ritual Facial Voucher. Add this to the bundle bag before handing over. The Skincare Bundle does not include a voucher.
In-Dapple package sale — full walkthrough
For patient awareness only. Bundles are also available on the Ilumaé Shopify site at ilumae.com.au. Online bundle sales are picked, packed and shipped by the warehouse. You don't need to do anything operationally for online sales.
This is a gifting campaign. The presentation matters. A well-packed bundle gets photographed, gifted, and remembered. A poorly-packed one gets returned to its packaging at home and the experience falls flat.
Take a co-branded gift bag.
Add tissue paper to the base of the bag, fluffed up so it sits high.
Place the products inside, larger product (Morning Ritual Crème) at the back, smaller (Eye Crème) in front. Both facing outward so the labels are visible when the bag is opened.
Mother's Day Bundles only: place the physical Ritual Facial Voucher visibly on top, tucked just behind the front layer of tissue so it's the first thing the recipient sees on opening.
Add a final layer of tissue paper on top to close the look. Don't overstuff.
Optional but encouraged: offer the patient a moment to write a personal message in the "to" and "from" fields on the voucher card before you pack it.
The bag should look display-worthy from the moment it leaves the front desk. If you wouldn't put it on Instagram, redo it.
This applies to both Mother's Day Bundle recipients and gift card thank-you voucher holders. The process is the same in both cases.
The Ritual Facial appointment type is set up in Dapple as "The Ritual Facial". Book under this appointment type, regardless of whether the voucher came from a bundle or a gift card.
Bookings are weekdays only, 9am to 5pm. No weekends, no after-hours. This is a hard rule.
Before booking or completing the redemption, please confirm:
At checkout following the appointment:
Add The Ritual Facial as the treatment line on the invoice as you would normally.
Apply the discount: [MOTHERS DAY] 100% off Ritual Facial. This deducts $195 from the invoice.
The invoice should balance to zero (assuming no add-ons). Process as normal.
Note
If the patient added on retail products, treatments or extras during their visit, those are paid for in full as normal. Only the Ritual Facial itself is covered by the voucher.
Standard Contour Clinics cancellation, rescheduling and no-show policies apply. The voucher may be forfeited and a fee may apply. If you're unsure, refer to the standard policy or check with your clinic manager.
A booking deposit or card pre-authorisation may be required, in line with standard policy. Where taken, it's refunded at checkout once the treatment is completed.
| Scenario | What to do |
|---|---|
| Patient wants to use a discount code or staff price on a bundle | Not allowed. Bundles are fixed price and can't be combined with any other offer. |
| Patient wants to pay for a bundle with their existing Contour gift card | Not allowed. Bundles can't be purchased using gift cards, credits, or rewards. |
| Patient wants to upgrade the Ritual Facial to a longer or different treatment | Not at the front desk. Refer to a dermal therapist or escalate to Lauren Rivero. |
| Patient lost or damaged their voucher before gifting | Lost vouchers cannot be replaced or reissued, per the T&Cs. Apologise warmly, but hold the line. |
| Patient wants a refund on a bundle | Standard returns policy applies. Voucher must be returned unredeemed. If it's been redeemed, the value is deducted from any refund payable. Escalate complex returns to Lauren Rivero. |
| Patient bought a gift card under $100 and is asking for the comp facial | Not eligible. The campaign offer is for gift cards of $100 or more. The auto-email is sent regardless of value, but the comp itself only applies to qualifying purchases. |
| Patient holds multiple Ritual Facial Vouchers and wants to use them all | Not allowed. Limit of one redemption per patient. They can transfer the others to someone else. |
| Patient turned up for the Ritual Facial and a contraindication is identified | The dermal therapist will deliver the most appropriate alternative facial of equivalent scope within the same appointment. There is no refund, voucher extension or credit available outside the appointment. |
| Recipient doesn't have the voucher with them at the appointment | The voucher must be presented to be redeemed. Politely ask them to bring it to a rescheduled appointment. |
| Voucher has expired (after 30th June 2026) | No extensions, full stop. Apologise and hold the line. |
| Patient wants to write a personal message on the voucher | Encouraged. The "to" and "from" fields are designed for this. Offer a pen and a moment. |
| Patient asks if they can buy a bundle for themselves | Yes. The campaign isn't gendered or restricted to mothers. |
| Dapple is down mid-sale | Take the patient's details, complete the sale manually if possible, and back-enter into Dapple as soon as it's restored. Escalate to Melissa if it's down for more than 30 minutes. |
If you're running low on any of the following at your clinic, contact Lauren Rivero or Melissa to reorder. Don't wait until you're out. Flag at 25 per cent remaining so reorders can land before you run dry.
The campaign closes at 11:59pm on Sunday 11th May 2026. From Monday 12th May:
Stop selling bundles. The Dapple package SKUs will be deactivated centrally, but please double-check before processing any sale.
Gift card sales continue as normal, but the comp Ritual Facial Voucher offer no longer applies. The auto-email may still send for a short window while the automation is updated. Please flag any patient who comes in trying to redeem a comp voucher from a gift card purchased on or after 12th May to Lauren Rivero.
Vouchers issued before 12th May remain valid until 30th June 2026.
Remove all in-clinic Mother's Day campaign collateral (table tents, leaflets at reception, in-room flyers). Confirm with Anna Tarazevich on the takedown plan.
The in-clinic screen takeover will be removed centrally.

For our dermal team
This Mother's Day campaign involves the dermal team more than most. Both Mother's Day Bundle recipients and gift card purchasers will be redeeming a complimentary Ritual Facial voucher, and most of those patients will be new to Contour. This page covers what you need to know.
The Ritual Facial is a new 45-minute format, built specifically for this campaign. It opens with a brief consultation, followed by a bespoke facial, with the specifics left to your judgement based on the patient in front of you. It's designed to be express by intention - a focused mini consult paired with a tailored but efficient facial, rather than a full luxury sitting.
The consult is where the real value sits. It's an opportunity to introduce these patients to a longer-term treatment plan and start the relationship properly.
This is intentional. Complimentary bookings shouldn't block peak-demand windows that need to stay available for paying patients. If you have a question about a booking that falls outside these rules, please raise it with Elle Mills before confirming with the patient.
Most bundle recipients will be new patients. The first impression matters, and a well-framed conversation about what's next is what makes this campaign pay off in the medium term. The same principle applies to gift card purchasers redeeming on themselves - most of whom will already be existing non-derm patients.
A5 leaflets and table tents are in every clinic, sitting at reception, in the waiting area, and in selected treatment rooms. Use them as a visual anchor if a campaign conversation comes up naturally. You'll also see the campaign rotating on the in-clinic screens.
If anything jumps out as a practical issue once you've started seeing patients, please flag it to Adam Lester or Lauren Rivero as soon as possible. Small operational tweaks during the campaign are easier than large ones afterwards.

Context
This year's Mother's Day campaign is built around a single idea: some gifts become rituals. The word ritual already runs through the Ilumaé range, with The Morning Ritual Crème as one of our hero products, and we've created a brand new 45-minute treatment, The Ritual Facial, to sit alongside it.
There are three ways to give: a full Mother's Day Bundle with skincare and a Ritual Facial voucher ($199), a skincare-only bundle ($149), and a gift card from $100 that earns the purchaser a complimentary Ritual Facial voucher for themselves. Bundles are available online and in clinic. Gift cards are available online and in clinic. The Ritual Facial vouchers are valid until 30th June 2026.
The offers
The Mother's Day Bundle
$199
The Morning Ritual Crème, The Eye Crème, and a Ritual Facial Voucher, presented in a co-branded bag. Perceived value $373.
When to recommend
The patient wants a complete gift, is shopping with intent, or is asking "what's the best one?" This is your default recommendation for anyone shopping for a mum, sister, partner or friend.
The Skincare Bundle
$149
The Morning Ritual Crème and The Eye Crème, presented in a co-branded bag. Perceived value $178.
When to recommend
The patient is price-sensitive, doesn't think the recipient would use a facial voucher, or wants something for someone who lives far from a clinic. Note that the $50 difference buys them a 45-minute Ritual Facial worth $195. For most patients, the upgrade is the better value.
The Gift Card
From $100
A Contour Clinics gift card, with a complimentary Ritual Facial Voucher for the purchaser as a thank-you (valued at $195).
When to recommend
The patient wants the recipient to choose, the recipient is already a Contour patient, or the patient wants something flexible. Always mention the comp Ritual Facial Voucher. It's the strongest reason to choose a gift card from us over a generic department store card.

"Tell me about the Mother's Day campaign."
Our Mother's Day campaign offers three ways to give: the Mother's Day Bundle at $199 (skincare plus a 45-minute Ritual Facial voucher), the Skincare Bundle at $149 (skincare only), or a gift card from $100, which earns you a complimentary Ritual Facial voucher as a thank-you. Both bundles are available online at ilumae.com.au, gift cards are available at contourclinics.com.au, and all three are available in clinic. Would you like a link?
"What is The Ritual Facial?"
The Ritual Facial is a 45-minute treatment we've created especially for this campaign. It includes a brief consultation with one of our dermal therapists, followed by a tailored facial. The voucher is valid until 30th June 2026 and bookings are weekdays, 9am to 5pm.
"How do I buy a bundle?"
The easiest way is online at ilumae.com.au. The bundle ships directly to whoever you choose, with everything beautifully presented. If you'd prefer, you can also pop into any of our clinics and pick one up. Would you like the online link or directions to your nearest clinic?
"How do I buy a gift card?"
You can buy a gift card online at contourclinics.com.au or via the Contour Clinics app. You can choose any amount from $50, and you can schedule the delivery for a specific date if you want it to land on Mother's Day. Gift cards from $100 also come with a complimentary Ritual Facial voucher as a thank-you. Would you like the link?
"I want to schedule the gift card to send on Mother's Day."
Easy. When you buy the gift card online or via our app, you'll see an option to schedule the delivery date. Pick the date you want and we'll send it then. Your complimentary thank-you Ritual Facial voucher will come straight to you on the day of purchase.
"Where can I find the terms and conditions?"
The full terms and conditions are at contourclinics.com.au/competition-terms-conditions. Let me know if you have a specific question and I'll do my best to answer.
"Can I get the Ritual Facial without buying the bundle?"
The Ritual Facial is currently only available as part of the Mother's Day Bundle, or as a thank-you for purchasing a gift card of $100 or more. If you'd like to book a different facial treatment, I can put you in touch with a dermal therapist to find the right option.
"I bought a gift card last week, where's my facial voucher?"
Your complimentary Ritual Facial voucher should have come through by email shortly after your purchase. Let me check your account. Could you share the email address you used at checkout?
Then escalate to whoever can verify in Dapple.
"Can the bundle be shipped overseas?"
Unfortunately we ship within Australia only. If your recipient is overseas, the Skincare Bundle products are also available individually on the Ilumaé site, which may give you more flexibility on shipping. Or a gift card might be a more practical option, which can be sent digitally anywhere.
"Can I just have the products without the bag?"
The bag is part of the bundle and we're not able to separate it. If you'd prefer to buy the products individually, they're available on their own at ilumae.com.au.
Objection handling
| Objection | What to say | Don't say |
|---|---|---|
| "It's too expensive." | "I understand. The Skincare Bundle at $149 might be a better fit, with the same two Ilumaé products and the gift bag. Or a $100 gift card if you'd prefer to give them the choice, which also includes a thank-you Ritual Facial for you." | Don't offer discounts, codes, or "let me see what I can do." Bundles are fixed price. |
| "Can I get a discount?" | "Bundle prices are fixed and we can't combine them with other offers. The bundles are already significantly under the perceived value of the items inside. Would you like the link?" | Don't invent a discount, code, or one-off exception. |
| "Can my recipient redeem the facial on a weekend?" | "Ritual Facial bookings are weekdays only, 9am to 5pm. We've kept it that way to make sure availability stays open. The voucher is valid until 30th June, which gives plenty of flexibility for booking ahead." | Don't promise a weekend booking or "I'll see if we can fit them in." |
| "Can the voucher be extended past 30th June?" | "Unfortunately the 30th June expiry can't be extended. We recommend booking in early to secure a preferred time." | Don't say "let me ask" or imply an extension might be possible. |
| "My recipient lives interstate, can I post the bundle?" | "If you buy the bundle online at ilumae.com.au, we'll ship it directly to whichever address you choose. We're not able to post bundles from clinics, but online ordering covers it." | Don't offer to post a bundle from a clinic. |
| "Can I use my Contour gift card to pay for a bundle?" | "Bundles are paid for with a standard payment method, and we're not able to apply gift cards or credits to them. Your gift card is still good for any of our usual treatments and products." | Don't process the sale by trying to apply a gift card to a bundle. |
| "I want to upgrade the Ritual Facial to a longer treatment." | "Let me put you in touch with one of our dermal therapists who can talk you through the options." | Don't quote prices or offer upgrades yourself. Always escalate to a clinical team member. |
| "Is the Morning Ritual Crème good for [a specific skin condition]?" | "The Morning Ritual Crème is a daily moisturiser with SPF 15, designed for everyday use. For a specific skin concern, I'd recommend a consultation with one of our dermal therapists who can give you proper advice." | Don't make therapeutic claims, outcome promises, or recommend the product for specific skin conditions. |
| "Will the Ritual Facial fix [a specific concern]?" | "The Ritual Facial is a tailored 45-minute facial with a brief consultation. The dermal therapist will assess what's best on the day. For specific skin concerns, the consultation portion is the right place for those conversations." | Don't promise a specific outcome from a single facial. |
Non-negotiable
These apply across phone, chat, email, and DM equally. A written transcript carries the same weight as a verbal claim, in some cases more.

A clear, prioritised flow. Follow this order.
If the patient is interstate, far from a clinic, or otherwise can't collect, the bundle path is online only. Direct them to ilumae.com.au.
Edge cases
| Scenario | What to do |
|---|---|
| Patient is hot to buy on a phone call but doesn't want to do it themselves | Process a gift card sale directly, or offer the bundle with clinic collection. Default to gift card if their needs are flexible. |
| Patient wants to buy but is interstate or remote | Direct them to ilumae.com.au for the bundle. Confirm the recipient's shipping address can be entered at checkout. |
| Patient is unsure which offer to choose | Walk them through the positioning notes above. The Mother's Day Bundle is the default for most. |
| Patient asks about a competitor or another brand | Don't compare. Stay on what we offer and why it's a strong gift. |
| Patient asks about ingredients or product specifics | Refer them to the product page on ilumae.com.au. Don't improvise on ingredient claims. |
| Patient asks about the Ritual Facial in detail | "It's a 45-minute treatment with a brief consultation followed by a tailored facial. The specifics of the facial are decided by the dermal therapist on the day, based on what's right for the patient." Don't go further. |
| Patient says they bought a gift card but didn't get the comp voucher | Take their email address used at purchase, escalate to Lauren Rivero. Don't promise it will arrive on a specific timeline. |
| Patient says they want a refund | Escalate to Lauren Rivero. Don't process or promise refunds. |
| Patient asks why bookings are weekdays only | "We've kept Ritual Facial bookings to weekdays so that weekend availability stays open for our regular bookings. The voucher is valid until 30th June, which gives plenty of flexibility." Don't offer a weekend slot. |
| Patient says they have a complaint | Escalate immediately to Elle Mills (sales) or Lauren Rivero (campaign). Don't try to resolve a complaint in chat or DM. |
| Patient asks to speak to a doctor or clinical staff member | Take their preferred clinic, name, contact details, and the nature of the question. Pass to the relevant clinic. Don't answer clinical questions yourself. |
